General Manager – Registered Training Organisation
The Australian Airline Pilot Academy Group is seeking a suitable candidate to join the management team as a full-time General Manager – Registered Training Organisation. The position location will be discussed with the successful applicant, however, onsite work at our Ballarat, Victoria and Wagga Wagga, New South Wales Campus will be required from time to time.Job Description:Oversee and ensure the RTO's compliance with VET regulations, ASQA Standards including fulfilling the responsibilities of the ASQA CEO, CRICOS registration and obligations as the Principal Executive Officer (PEO), and VET Student LoansDevelop compliance monitoring plans based on legislative and regulatory requirementsLead internal auditing for ASQA compliance and ensure strategic alignment with ASQA CEO responsibilitiesManage Student admissionsManage RTO registration, scope extension, CRICOS registration and compliance audits as requiredDevelop, review and maintain relevant policies and proceduresEnsure continued compliance against standard operating procedures and national regulatory frameworksManage, support and train staff within Group location/s.Coordinate and facilitate arrangements required to commence overseas students’ training at the Academy, ensuring compliance with CRICOS and ESOS Act obligationsManage Staff communications (meetings, bulletins and other as required)Review and continually improve the RTO activities, programs and service delivery, ensuring alignment with ASQA CEO and CRICOS PEO responsibilities and maintaining high levels of quality and serviceContribute to any new business tenders (including State and Federal government funded offerings)Identify opportunities to create new business revenue streams within new and existing accounts, rolling out relevant training coursesManage the RTO to ensure achievement of strategic goals, individual targets and KPIs;Staff performance management including trainer observations, development of individual learning registers, performance appraisals and professional developmentAttend company meetings and produce reports regularlyEnsure rectification of internal and external audit reportsAny other tasks assigned which may be reasonably requested from time to time,which contribute to the success of the organisationKey Selection Criteria: Mandatory;Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122)Demonstrated experience in managing operations of an RTO, including overseeing training delivery, assessment and compliance with ASQA RTO Standards and relevant legislationA thorough understand of the VET Quality framework, audit processes and continuous improvement practicesExperience in developing and implementing training and assessment strategies aligned to the training packages on scopeHigh level of verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders internal and externalDemonstrated experience with AVETMISS reportingDesirable;Demonstrated experience in managing VSL approved courses and ensuring ongoing compliance with VET Student Loans legislationDemonstrated experience in managing a CRICOS registered RTO with compliance to the ESOS Act, and National Code of PracticeExperience managing PRISMS (Provider Registration and International Student Management System), ensuring all reporting obligations are metProficient in the use of Student Management SystemsSalary will be discussed with the successful applicant.
